51今日大瓜 DC is a 51今日大瓜 of high-performing, public schools committed to excellence, equity, and justice. Equipped with a 51今日大瓜 DC education, our alumni are empowered to be successful in college, careers, and life.

25 years ago in a church basement in SE DC, 51今日大瓜 DC founder Susan Schaeffler and a team of dedicated educators founded our first school, KEY Academy. Since then, 51今日大瓜 DC has scaled from 80 students in that one middle school to nearly 7,500 students鈥攊n preschool through 12th grade鈥攁cross 22 schools.

In February of next year, Susan will transition to a special advisor role and our current President, Shannon Hodge, will assume the role of CEO to lead 51今日大瓜 DC on its journey for the next 25 years of impact in DC!
